Local Attractions

• Mitsui Building: An Observation deck (free!) and two restaurants are located in the 19th floor.
• Tsukuba Central Park: Between the Tsukuba Terminal and ULIS. Tsukuba City Public Library, Art Gallery, Tsukuba EXPO center, and a traditional farmer house are located.
• Creo (Shopping mall): Seibu department store, JUSCO supermarket, and other stores and restaurants. Restaruants are located in the 6th floor of Seibu and in MOG which is located next to Creo and its parking area.
• Daiei: supermarket closest to the symposium site (Capio)
• Pedestrian Deck: a walkway goes from Tsukuba University (north) to Akatsuka Park (south). Several parks are located along the pedestrian deck. Doho park (2.5 km south from Capio) is the largest one.
• Mt. Tsukuba: Very historical montain with two peaks in the north of Tsukuba Science City.
